Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Activism Alert:

The Oklahoma Compassionate Care Campaign for medical marijuana is making great progress. Our goal is to change state law, to allow doctors to recommend medical marijuana. This would include regulations for cultivation and distribution. In fact, the final version of the proposed legislation for legalizing medical marijuana for Oklahoma can be viewed here, following detailing of plans for a "Day at the Capitol" to present this proposed legislation.

We have received written endorsements from more than forty potential Oklahoma medical marijuana patients and three Oklahoma medical professionals (one Medical Doctor (M.D.), one Registered Nurse (R.N.). and a pain therapist.). Early in 2010 (date TBA), we will have a medical marijuana lobbying day at the State Capitol. We will visit our elected officials in person and ask them to support medical marijuana.

Please call, email, fax and/or write letters to your Oklahoma senator and representative today! Ask them to - Please introduce and endorse The Oklahoma Compassionate Care Medical Marijuana Legislation. The campaign has a tiny budget. We need your contributions to afford more publicity. We need volunteers to help with a wide range of activities. With your help, we can build a strong statewide coalition for medical marijuana. Will Foster now sits in a Tulsa County Jail

Well, Will foster is now sitting in a Tulsa County Jail in Oklahoma waiting to join other non-violent criminals who fill our overcrowded prison system.

Will has to face the same Pardon and Parole Board that issued the false fugitive warrant sometime with in the next week or two. Please tie up Oklahoma’s phone lines with pleads to pardon William Joseph Foster’s sentence, he and his family have suffered enough.

Please write polite letters asking that the Tulsa DA to stop prosecuting Will Foster, you are welcome to call as well:

Everyone, I just talked with Will Foster. He will go before a judge on Sept. 8th. The charges are that he has :
#1.Violating a Federal Law
#2.Being a official CareGiver and growing marijuana …in Califoria? Don’t get that one?
#3.Not providing job information…which he does have proof of
#4 Refusing to sign the interstate compact
Will said this is going to be a Probable Cause hearing
Please give this to everyone you know and ask them to call the
Governors office. Ask them why, when the DOC is in such bad shape
financially, would we want to spend so much money messing with a guy
that just wants to use the medicine that works best for him?

Let them know that you not only think this is a gross miscarriage of
justice but also a frivolous waste of taxpayer money. Will has been
incarcerated and suffering since 1995… for a 5 by 5 foot marijuana
garden in his basement that he used as an alternative to prescription
pharmaceuticals for his arthritis.

I am begging you, please pardon Will Foster. This is a frivolous
waste of taxpayer money in both the states of California and Oklahoma,
we are suffering a serious recession and cannot afford this.

Additionally, as a concerned citizen, I am frustrated that so much
effort would be wasted on prosecuting a victimless crime rather than
the serious problems destroying our communities.
