DPFOK Minutes of 06 18 2009 modified per 08 19 2009 meeting

Present: Ron Shewy, Danny Buntin, Keary Prophet, Jeff Pickens, Clinton Wiles [Larry Bonnell and Bill Humphries absent]

Meeting began at 645

2. Contact of potential Board members didn’t happen.

3.a. Amended minutes of 05 20 2009 accepted.

Minutes of previous meeting unavailable.

b. Treasurers Report :After paying ½ of phone bill, DPFOK has a balance of $35.71.

4. First choice for showing American Drug War in Normal is 10 03 2009, second choice is 10 24 2009. – Unanimous

L. Bonnell was volunteered to continue his contacts with the Norman Library to arrange for the room. – Unanimous

Time for the film is projected as being 2 – 6 with 230 start and ½ hr intermission to promote presentation to and conversation with guest. – Unanimous

5. Proposed Amendment I failed.

Proposed Amendment III carried.

Moved to have Secretary be keeper of the Constitution – Unanimous

Moved to have at the first official Board meeting of 2010 a full membership vote on the wording of the Constitution – Unanimous

Present: Ron Shewy, Danny Brook, Kerry Prophet, Jeff Pickens, Clinton Wiles [Larry Bonnell and Bill Humphries absent]

Meeting began at 645

Guest: Norma Prophet

2. Board seats pending.

3. a. Minutes of last meeting not available.

3. b. After paying ½ of phone bill, restoring $45 to L. Bonnell for advance to open account and receiving membership and donation from A. W.; DPRNOK has $53.72 in account.

4. Day at the Capitol with Medical Marijuana Patients will have to happen in the Fall.

R. Shewy will learn about dates.

J. Pickens will get with Bud Scott to review how to have one of these events and will report findings at the August meeting.

5. Review of the two Constitutions for DPFOK and DPRNOK is suggested. Questions about the votes of 04222009 were raised concerning the required and available DPRNOK board members.

6. New business card acquisition is deferred pending exhaustion of old card stock.

7. Fund Raising:

K. Prophet suggested web sales of lanyards as a fund raising mechanism.

Ja Roots, suggested as potential performers at a benefit concert, has broken up.

Suitable community events have not yet been identified.

Board members are encouraged to contemplate additional ways of raising money.

8. DPFNOK sponsored hemp legislation, pending.

9. Course of action for Compassionate Care Campaign: Pending

10. Web address DPRNOK.NET has been purchased by K. Prophet. This includes community.dprnok.net which is part of NING.
